The inspirational project to breathe new life into St George’s Guildhall in King’s Lynn has raised more than £1.5m in six months of fundraising, as a new major private donation is welcomed towards the renovation.
The Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk is converting the annexe to the former Sommerfeld and Thomas warehouse to provide welcoming dryside facilities for leisure craft owners who moor up at the South Quay pontoons, including showers, toilets, washing machines, visitor information and water bottle refills.
Residents, community groups, businesses and others are invited to help shape a masterplan for King’s Lynn, which will guide sustainable regeneration, investment and opportunity in the town over the next 20-plus years.
