Town Deal Board members were delighted to hear today’s Government announcements, that King’s Lynn’s Town Deal Board had been allocated the maximum amount of £25,000,000 to press ahead with a range of projects.

A bid for a town deal of up to £25million has been submitted by the Town’s Board and while a funding announcement is expected towards the end of this month, the board continues to develop its ideas and plans under the Town Investment Plan.

Building works are set to begin next week on a brand-new training facility to accommodate the School of Nursing Studies, which will see high quality training facilities developed at College of West Anglia’s King’s Lynn campus.

People are being asked for their views on walking and cycling in King’s Lynn and surrounding villages to inform a plan that will make it easier for those on bike and foot to get around the area.

A public realm action plan is being drawn together to prioritise and co-ordinate projects to make our west Norfolk towns feel safe and to encourage people back into the towns.
